The assignment is to write 100 fics of at least 100 words each, using given prompts. (You can see the prompt table here: My Table) I chose the Tolkien Fandom and Lorien Elves. The following are links to my fics written for this challenge.
Silver In Sunlight
Characters: Lorien Elves: Celebrian in this one (with Elrond)
Prompt: 001. Beginnings
Word Count: 824
Rating: G
Beta: Alex, with my appreciation.
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: Celebrian gives Elrond a new lease on life.
Author's Notes: Details – I'm assuming that the Noldor were allowed to return west after/during the Last Alliance (or even before). Also, my timeline might not be totally accurate; I'm just estimating and hope I'm right. Or close to right. (Though I do know that Elrond and Celebrian married in year 100 of the Third Age). A last note: This is from Elrond's point of view. He would NOT shut up and let Celebrian talk. My beta suggested I do another one from Celebrian's view. I will try. Even if I have to knock Elrond senseless.

When You Can Rest
Characters: Lorien Elves: Celebrian in this one (with Elrond)
Prompt: 002. Middles
Word Count: 631
Rating: G
Beta: Alex, with my appreciation.
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: Elrond has work to do before he can sail.
Author's Notes: Another one from Elrond's POV. I don't even know who to blame that on. I have never channeled Elrond before, but I feel like I need to go with it to get it over with!

Where Was He?
Characters: Lorien Elves: Celebrian in this one (with Elrond)
Prompt: 003. Ends.
Word Count: 974
Rating: G
Beta: Alex, with my appreciation.
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: Celebrian waits for Elrond to arrive in Valinor
Author's Notes: Companion piece to Silver In Sunlight and When You Can Rest. Most stories about elves traveling to Valinor show the arrivals being greeted by their loved ones. I wondered how the elves in Valinor *knew* exactly when to show up. I asked Claudio, and he said he'd never seen it written in Tolkien, so we both decided it wasn't canon. Therefore, Celebrian does not know when Elrond will arrive. She can only wait and hope.

Ready For Anything
Characters: Lorien Elves: Rúmil, with mention of Haldir
Prompt: 004. Insides.
Word Count: 415
Rating: G
Beta: Alex, with my appreciation.
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: Rúmil's first patrol.
Author's Notes: I could have made you all cry, but I took pity.

See Me
Characters: Lorien Elves: Haldir, Orophin, Rumil
Prompt: 005. Outsides.
Word Count: 1276
Rating: G
Beta: Thanks Alex, beta Goddess, and thanks to Niere for the read-through!
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: Rúmil and Haldir butt heads during Rúmil's training.
Author's Notes: I change the ages of the brothers at will. In this one, Haldir is the oldest, then Orophin, then Rúmil. I'm working under the assumption that Rúmil is several hundred years younger than Haldir. Haldir is a commander in the guardians, but not *the* commander. All of the active warriors help out training the new soldiers who start training around 100 years of age and aren't full-fledged warriors until they pass all of the novice, then advanced classes. This is the first time that Rúmil has been in a class with one of his brothers as an instructor. Neither one of them is reacting very well.

He'd Rather Die
Characters: Celeborn and Galadriel
Prompt: 006. Hours.
Word Count: 548
Rating: G
Beta: Thanks Alex, beta Goddess
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Summary: While Galadriel showed her mirror to Frodo, all Celeborn could do was wait and hope.
Author's Notes: It was Celeborn's turn to speak. And I have to thank Marnie, because a scene in Battle of the Golden Wood totally inspired Celeborn's reactions here.

Enough For Two
Characters: Lorien Elves - Celeborn, Galadriel
Prompt: 033. Too Much.
Word Count: 469
Rating: G
Beta: Alex, her wonderfulness
Summary: Grandmother knows best.
Author's Notes: My first thoughts were to write the twins, or Arwen, or the Lorien brothers and their blankies, but that seemed too predictable. That's why I decided on this.

![]() |
MPA 2007 Nominee |
|---|
Characters: Lorien Elves: Featuring Rúmil with guest appearances by Celeborn, Galadriel, Haldir, and Elladan and Elrohir.
Prompt: 013. The dark water boiled, and there was a hideous stench.
Word Count: 1730
Rating: G
Beta: The wonderful Miss Alex.
Summary: Rúmil decides he's not a baby anymore.
Author's Notes: Playing fast and loose with ages here. I figure the twins, Haldir, and Orophin are all in or near 50 or 60. Rúmil is in around 25-30. (I subscribe to the 2.5 elf years = 1 human year formula, so they are 20-24 and 10-12 in equivalent human ages). I'm also assuming that the brothers' parents have left already, so Galadriel and Celeborn are raising them. I further realize that all of the young elves aren't acting like humans of those equivalent ages would. I like to think that elves have the luxury of allowing their children to be children longer, so they act like children until they are much older than their human counterparts.

Keeper
of the Flame
2004 MEFA (Middle Earth Fanfiction Awards) Nominee
Rating: NC-17
Type: Het
Characters: Galadriel/Celeborn
Prompt: .052 - Fire.
Warnings and Notes: Post-Fellowship. Written as part of the Fest for Waters
of Cuivienen. (Plot Challenge: It is time for your character
to cross the Sea of Valinor. Who do they reflect on, or even take with them?
This is my answer. (Oh, and I have no idea if this is really canon. I assume
that once Elrond left Middle Earth, Arwen and the twins would begin to age
and eventually die, though long after Aragorn or other mortals. If someone
more knowledgeable tells me otherwise, I'll revise the story).
Beta: Alex
Summary: As Galadriel crosses to Valinor, she reflects on her relationship
with Celeborn. (March 2003)

Swept Away
2003 MPA (My Precious Awards) Nominee
2004 MEFA (Middle Earth Fanfiction Awards) Nominee
2004
MEFA - Third Place - Romance Category
Rating: PG-13,
maybe R
Type: Slash
Characters: Rumil/Theodred
Prompt: .072 - Storm.
Warnings and Notes: Takes place about 20 years before LOTR. Written for the
Lothlorien Challenge at Haldir's Realm
Beta: Alex
Summary: Rumil and Haldir are out scouting when Rumil is swept away in the
flooded river. (Hence the title :) He meets up with a young Theodred. (July/August
2003)

Let Rumil Do It
Characters: Celeborn along with Elrond, Glorfindel, and Thranduil (also known as the Elflords).
Prompt: 078. Where?
Word Count: 1078
Rating: PG-13
Beta: The superb Alex, with my thanks.
Summary: Celeborn is too trusting. And he's sure he likes brandy too much.
Author's Notes: This story is in NO way even close to canon. In fact, I only used names and places from LotR so it would be somewhat recognizable in the Tolkien world. I'm pretty sure nothing else is even close to anything Tolkien had in mind. You have been warned. This is a follow-up to a story that Alex and I wrote called, "Stop That, You'll Only Hurt Yourselves!''

Jumping To Conclusions
Rating: PG-13
Type: Gen, with slight slash leanings
Characters: Celebrian and Glorfindel, Elrond and Erestor Supporting
Prompt: .084 - He.
Word Count: 2727
Beta: Alex
A/N: Slashy Santa Request was for Glorfindel/Erestor, any rating, "vampires, roses, wine, a misunderstanding, and a gift." I tried! I also wrote with maximum efficiency in mind…hence so many prompts filled.
Summary: Elrond and Erestor don't stand a chance against the ones who love them. (December 2006)

Win or Lose--Celeborn is Still Sleeping on the Floor
Rating: G
Type: Gen
Characters: Celeborn, Galadriel, Elrond, and Rumil
Prompt: .086 - Choices.
Word Count: 2586
Beta: Luin & Keiliss
A/N: Originally written for the Little Balrog’s 2007 Stocking Stuffer Swap (at http://www.queencheetah.com/hetswap) Request was for Galadriel/Celeborn, any rating. ‘…sweetly humorous piece about the Lorien couple, something with humorous reference to perhaps Her Ring or her being a Noldor elf.’
Summary: What did Celeborn and Galadriel really think of Elrond as a son-in-law?
